This is a well known problem for the N8 after you did a soft reset or hard reset or flash with custom firmware versions through flash software like Phoenix 2010. My problem happens after I flash with HyperX custom firmware for continuous auto focus (CAF), 30fps and 11mb for 12mp camerashot.
What I'm about to tell, that the solution did help me, but might not help you. But, why not give it a try?
Preparation:
1. Nokia Qt Package (consist Nokia Qt 4.6 and Nokia Qt 4.7) or here
2. Nokia Qt SDK from here
3. USB Cable
4. And your Nokia N8
Step by step guide:
1. Download Nokia Qt Package from wiki.forum.nokia and extract the package. There will be Qt 4.7 for Symbian^3 and Qt 4.6 for Symbian^3
2. Copy both of the files (Qt 4.7 for Symbian^3 and Qt 4.6 for Symbian^3)to your Mass storage Nokia N8 and paste it
3. After that, download the Nokia Qt SDK from the link given and installed it to your PC. The installation will take time, so be patient.
4. After installation is done, connect your Nokia N8 to your PC. (Make sure the phone is set to Nokia Ovi Suite first)
5. Wait till your PC fully detect the phone
6. Then go Start > Nokia Qt SDK > Symbian and choose Install QtMobility to Nokia N8 device *This is the most important part
7. It will prompt Ovi Suite and will start installing the appropriate application to your phone. Wait till the installation is finished.
8. Then go to Tools > Software Update and select all the update you think its appropriate. *This step isn't really important though, you can skip it and do it later
9. After done updating the phone. Unplug the cable from your phone
10. Go to File Manager and Install qt.sis and qtwebkit.sis from Qt 4.6 for Symbian^3 folder
11. Then install qt_4_7_0_opengl.SIS from Qt 4.7 for Symbian^3
12. Open Ovi Sote application, wait till the download links appeared.
13. Click download and start installing Ovi Store
14. Finally, restart the phone then test whether the Ovi Store is restored back or not
Here's the video:
Notes: View in 720p or 1080p.
**If you get Certificate Error, change the date. And it's advise that you update your phone once ovi store restoration is completed.
Addition Notes: Qt tools are developer versions. If you have problem opening an application, reinstall it. Do it at your own risk.
or you can try what this guy say:

Yeah...
"Nokia Qt Package" doesn't exist. I've looked everywhere on the site. This is the closest I got:
http://get.qt.nokia.com/qt/symbian/
I compared with the video to find the files I needed. I found all files I needed for Qt 4.6, but the .sis file from 4.7 (as shown in the video) is nowhere to be found.
I guess Ovi Store on my Nokia N8 will remain broken until the firmware update...
I downloaded everythin, reset my phone again but when tried to put the 4.7 and 4.7 files, came up expired certificates on all
Nokia Qt SDK and Qt 4.7 are tools release for developers to use, they are not suitable for end-uses and, in the particular case of Qt 4.7, not even officially released (note the "Developer edition" label).
Qt 4.6.4 and Qt Mobility 1.0.2 is, at best, what is needed to fix this problem. A problem which btw can easily be avoided ...
I know Qt SDK is and Qt tools are for developers, but what choice do u have? And now, I don't have any problem yet after recover my Ovi Store
@TheRationalOracle u can download Nokia Qt Package here

This doesn't help if you want to install any QT apps with smart installer (such as Orange Wednesday or Wikitude)
Any ideas how to get these apps to work??
None of the methods worked on my N8 :( guess I'll wait for the FW update, which is expected by end of this month?
Ok guys, I have successfully tried out another method after 3 suicidal hard reset button, to restore your Ovi Store. Will create another guide after this break
Guys,
The Mobile Hands-on Labs v1.4 (Online Tutorial) For developers to get started with creating working Qt, Web Runtime, and Java ME application.
The modules explain the development environment set up and how to get started. Each module has step-by-step instructions on how to proceed and create a working application.

I could't find the file qt_4_0_7_opengl.SIS as you showed on the video. Where can i find it? My folder 4.6 contains the files as you described. But i could find any folder 4.7, just the 4.7.1 and it has just 3 files: qt_all.sis; qtwebkit_2_1 and sisfiles.txt
How can i find the folder as you demonstred?
